Bar Harbor, Maine

Last summer we rented an RV and drove up the East Coast to Bar Harbor, Maine. We are avid hikers and we chose to tackle the Beehive trail in Acadia National Park. It’s an adventurous trail with a spectacular view. A 450 foot cliff trail full of granite staircases, iron rungs, and exposed cliff faces. It’s a 1.4 mile loop that can take 1-3 hours to complete.

To access the trail we parked at Sand Beach parking lot, but be sure to get there early because this lot is small ad fills up fast. Follow the steps up behind the restrooms where you will find the Bowl trail.
